The only dive bar in Bellingham with waterfront views and a full seafood kitchen.
There are plenty of bars in Bellingham. Craft cocktail places with curated playlists and Instagram lighting. Upscale waterfront restaurants where a round of drinks costs as much as a tank of gas. Hotel bars that could be in any city in America.
And then there's us.
Waterfront Tavern at 521 W Holly St is the Bellingham dive bar that Bellingham has always had—and that Bellingham still needs. A place where the bar stools have stories, the jukebox has opinions, and the fish and chips cost what fish and chips should cost.
We're the only dive bar in Bellingham with waterfront views and a full seafood kitchen. That combination—authentic, affordable, and actually on the water—is something no other bar in this city can claim.
Long before Waterfront Tavern was a bar, this waterfront building had a trap door entrance used by loggers and workers from Bellingham's timber days. It's still here. That history is baked into the walls, the floorboards, and the DNA of what this place is. You don't find that at a hotel bar.
This bar was built for people who work with their hands, who live in Bellingham year-round, and who want a cold beer and a plate of fish and chips without dressing up or opening a tab that'll ruin their week. That's always been the Waterfront Tavern. That'll always be the Waterfront Tavern.
Anthony's at Squalicum and Keenan's at the Pier charge upscale prices for the same Bellingham Bay you're looking at from our deck. We charge dive bar prices. The water doesn't care. The sunset doesn't care. Come enjoy it the way it was meant to be enjoyed—with a cold one in your hand and no bill shock when you leave.
No other bar in Bellingham combines waterfront views, a full seafood kitchen, and dive bar prices. That's our position. That's what we own.
